For more than 26 years now we, at Allmendinger Elektromechanik KG, have been serving customers across the world with repairs, spare part deliveries, a local service and a sophisticated retrofit programme for CNC machines.
What began with a strong pioneering spirit in 1996 in the home cellar of our senior boss Hermann Allmendinger developed into a Swabian success story. In the same year, the first two employees were hired, who, by the way, are still with us today. Quality, reliability and a distinct service philosophy have allowed us to continuously grow.
Today, our family business is run by the second generation, Nadine and Daniel Allmendinger, and currently has 200 employees. We offer our customers around 40,000 spare parts kept in a 50,000 m² warehouse. What we have been able to keep to this day?

1996 – Company foundation
January 1996
1st January 1996: Austria’s Reinhard Schwarzenberger won the traditional New Year’s Ski Jumping in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In Unterböhringen near Bad Überkingen, 260 kilometres away, more precisely in the cellar of his private home, Hermann Allmendinger started his very own success story. As a classic one-man operation, he quickly made a name for himself with the repair of measurement systems and commissioning of CNC controls from Siemens and Heidenhain. In the same year, the first two employees, who are still with us today, were hired.
July 1998 – New company headquarters in Hausen

We continued to expand and a new company building was erected in the neighbouring village of Hausen (Brunnenwiesen industrial estate) with offices, CNC workshop and warehouse measuring 200 m². Our team grew to a total of seven employees.
The years 2000 to 2002 – 1st company building expansion / 1st construction of special machines
February 2000
With the increasing demand for services related to CNC machines, not only did our customer base continue to grow, but so did our range of services. This was expanded to the repair of electronic cards and the sale of CNC spare parts. In 2001, the production technology division was added and the first brushing machine left the company building, which had grown to 450m². The number of employees rose from ten in 2000 to a total of 16 in 2002.
September 2003 – rental of a warehouse in Reichenbach im Täle

We expanded the spare parts trade and rented a warehouse with 300m² of floor space.
March 2004 – 2nd company building expansion

In the meantime, 26 dedicated colleagues were taking care of the steadily growing customer base. For this purpose, the company building was again extended to approx. 600m².

2007 – Planning of new company building
January 2007
The growth continued and so the decision was made at the end of 2007: A new modern commercial building for up to 150 employees is being constructed in line with our increased requirements.
2008 – New business premises / Allmendinger KG
January 2008
The ground-breaking ceremony for our new business premises took place on 20 May 2008. After changing our name to “Allmendinger Elektromechanik KG”, we employed a total of 62 people.
June 2009 – Relocation to our new company headquarters
June 2009
The time had finally arrived in June 2009. We moved into the innovative, newly built company building. This offers bright premises with modern workplaces, as well as a 1600m² large CNC spare parts warehouse.
2011 – Certification / Fanuc / The 100th employee
January 2011
Since 2011, we have been officially certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. In the same year, we extended our portfolio of services to include the overhaul, repair and sale of controls, drives, servo-and spindle motors from Fanuc. Full of pride, we welcomed our 100th employee to the team.
2013 – Expansion of warehouse capacity

After just four years in the new building, we had to expand our warehouse capacity further. By renting new premises in neighbouring Bad Überkingen, the total warehouse floor space increased to 4500 m².
June 2013 – The online product catalogue went live

In June 2013, our new product catalogue went online – the cornerstone for our later Allmendinger online shop.
2014 – certification according to the valid DIN EN ISO 14001:2004 environmental guidelines

Always one step ahead. Already on 7th February 2014, we were awarded with the certificate of the DIN ISO 14001:2004 for the first time. The result of a responsible approach to nature and the environment. And something else we could be proud of: This year, we were able to welcome the 130th employee to our team.
2016 – 20 years of Allmendinger

20 years, 170 employees, more than 200 portions of smoked spare ribs. We said: Thank you! – and celebrated our anniversary with the entire staff and a superlative US food truck.
An expansion in the area of CNC automation systems was realised through the construction of an additional workshop where an additional 8 jobs were created.
2017 – Allmendinger in new design

On 30.06.2017 the new Allmendinger website was launched. But it was not only the design that was new. The revised product catalogue with over 30,000 available articles opened up a new dimension in terms of CNC-Service.
2019 -Allmendinger image campaign

At Allmendinger, we have always valued our employees. “We are Allmendinger” became a synonym for this special corporate culture. Since June 2019, we have been communicating this in our employer branding film, which visually enhances HR marketing and strengthens our presence on social media platforms.
2021 – 25-year anniversary / 25-month warranty
January 2021
In the midst of the Covid pandemic, we started our 25th anniversary year so unfortunately, the big birthday party had to be cancelled. Nevertheless, we had planned something very special: As an expression of gratitude and appreciation to our customers, we extended our 12-month warranty to a 25-month warranty. Always: No exceptions, no extra costs: A 25-month warranty on all spare parts and repairs. This promise is also a mark of our quality awareness.
